Sasha has had her first show since the accident and I made it to the show ground in time.

She got first in her class but lost on the best of breed for a lovely mature male. There were only 12 Leos there, some of the entered dogs must have stayed at home as it was a very hot day!

New to me, only best of breed was chosen, no best of opposite sex. We would have been BOS if the award was actually given out as in the final selection of class winners stood  males and Sasha big grin

I'm still learning about open shows and rules etc in them! In the one we missed they definately gave out BOB and BOS and best puppy but yesterday only BOB and best puppy awards were given. Also, both sexes were mixed in the classes so Sasha was in a class with males which was something I have never seen even in a show! Not that I have been to that many open shows but this was the first with mixed classes.

Never the less, we are happy she got first as I am still paranoid about her movement, it is not as good as it used to be but obviously good enough not to be chucked out of the ring and go past others with pelvises in one piece!

It will be interesting to see what the critique says.

In UK you do not get them with you from the show but need to read them from a dog paper at later date!

We have two more shows in next few weeks, lets hope we get placed! If you do not get placed, no critique is written so you will have no idea why the dog was not successful - we would prefer to have a critiquebig grin.
